Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of running brothels in Eastbourne.
A 32-year-old man, a 49-year old man and a 43-year-old woman, all from Eastbourne, were taken into custody today for questioning.
Two of the alleged brothels where in Ashford Road and Royal Parade and a warrant was also executed at a private address in Northbourne Road.
Three adult women workers, one Chinese, one English and one Russian were found in the alleged brothels. They were not arrested and are being treated as witnesses.
The trio were arrested following a joint operation between Sussex Police and the UK Border Agency.
Inspector Adam Hays of Sussex Police said: "The operation was low key and intended to disrupt premises that we believe or suspect are being used to sexually exploit men and women under the cover of a legitimate premises.”
