Jewellery worth thousands of pounds was stolen when a shop was raided this morning.
Two men smashed their way into Lawrence Sissling Jewellers in Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill, at about 8.30am.
The pair pulled up outside the shop in a red Peugeot 206, which police believe is stolen, before escaping in the same car.
The car registration is X618 JKK.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary.
A spokeswoman said: “The area was very busy at the time of the burglary and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the men making their escape.”
