Activists are considering sending animal bodies for post mortems amid fears that poison is being laid down for wildlife.

An increasing number of foxes and badgers have been found dead or seriously ill on a stretch of the South Downs over the last few weeks.

Residents have said the bodies do not have any visible injuries while animal rescuers have suggested sending corpses for tests in a bid to track down the culprit.
