Firefighters were called to a blaze in a family home.
Crews are investigating how the fire at the house in Silverdale Road, Burgess Hill, began but it is suspected to have been caused by a faulty fridge.
The two-storey house suffered smoke and heat damage in the fire that began at about 2.25pm yesterday (wed).
No one was in the house at the time.
