I was interested to read Mike Weatherley’s comments (The Argus, February 14) concerning Royal Mail’s insistence that mail addressed to Portslade must be followed by Brighton, though I suppose they could argue that it is in East Sussex and that their facilities are provided by Brighton and Hove City Council.
What I fail to understand is why we regularly receive mail addressed to Southwick, Brighton, East Sussex. We are an entity in our own right and our amenities are provided either by Adur District Council or West Sussex County Council – whose services we are more than happy with.
An explanation from Royal Mail would be most welcome.
