A pensioner was taken to court after complaining repeatedly about the noise of aeroplanes over her house.
Ann Jones was arrested by Sussex Police after ringing Gatwick airport's noise complaints phone number dozens of times.
Mrs Jones, who is in her late sixties, rang to complain every time a noisy plane flew over her home in Southlands Road, East Grinstead.
Airport staff were so annoyed they called police who arrested Mrs Jones on suspicion of harassing them.
However magistrates found Mrs Jones not guilty of causing annoyance by means of a communications network, an offence under the Telecommunications Act.
Mid Sussex Magistrates' Court was told that Mrs Jones had been making complaints for at least six years but that every single call was prompted by a plane flying past her home.
