It was with great regret I read of the passing of Reg Moores (The Argus, February 16). Only a week or so before, he rang me and we were “discussing” our illnesses.

Our friendship dated back to our teens when he lived in John Street and I lived in Park Street, and he would show off his tricks on the pavement.

We were both interested in radio and he used a radio microphone to sing when dancing – but he never received any recognition for that invention.

He travelled widely and was always developing something. It is a sad loss and has happened so quickly. He will be missed but remembered.

I appreciate all that you have written of our Reg.
