Two paramedics who sat outside the house of a dying man have been sacked.

Michael Bradford suffered a fatal heart attack while paramedics Wayne Newton and Rob Broadway were parked up in an ambulance outside his home, in Sycamore Close, Portslade.

The two South East Coast Ambulance workers had diagnosed Mr Bradford, known as Mike, with a chest infection and told him to see his GP the next day.

But soon after they left he suffered a cardiac arrest and died. He was due to marry his fiancée Diane Leggett within weeks.

Following an internal investigation by the ambulance trust, Mr Newton and Mr Broadway have been relieved of their posts.
