These children did not need the Paparazzi to feel like stars.
Trying out her Poker Face at Fairlight Primary and Nursery School in St Leonard’s Road, Brighton, was singer Lady Gaga and a mini comedian Harry Hill gave his classmates a few giggles.
Youngsters in all year groups dressed up as their favourite celebrities and famous people as part of their “Not” Book Week.
Among those who went back to school were the Karate Kid, SpongeBob SquarePants and even Florence Nightingale.
The children were invited to dress up on the final day of a week which celebrated other forms of media, such as newspapers, magazines and comics.
As part of the event the pupils enjoyed a comic drawing competition, storytelling and puppet making and a word treasure hunt. The older children also took part in drama linked to comic characters and read newspaper articles and biographies of famous people.
The importance of books and reading in general was also promoted throughout the week.
