Residents are being warned not to fall for a scam involving bogus white van men.
Wealden District Council has received a number of reports of opportunists with vans making unsolicited visits to residents' homes.
Householders are asked to ensure anyone that removes rubbish from their property is registered by the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier and has an A4 or credit card-sized certificate.
