Two fire and rescue services will receive grants of £31,380 from the government to help deal with flood emergencies.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will be given £26,700 to spend on training and equipment for a powered rescue team.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will receive £4,680 to buy equipment for two non-powered rescue boats.
Fifteen organisations including 11 other fire and rescue services and charities such as St John Ambulance and the RSPCA will receive grants amounting to £820,000.
These form the final part of a £1.7 million Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) run scheme to enhance flood rescue capability.
