A planning application has been made to close the footpath through Stanmer House garden which, if successful, will deny public access.
Stanmer Park was purchased by the then Brighton Corporation in 1947 and was designated a public park in perpetuity.
For generations of past and future park-goers, it’s essential that the status quo is maintained otherwise this much-used and much-loved path will be lost for ever.
To keep this footpath open to all for the future, there is a form which can be downloaded and filled in.
This information can then be submitted for appeal purposes.
