FOLLOWING your coverage of our petition asking the council to improve pedestrian safety in the Hollingdean Dip (The Argus, March 4), we would like to encourage residents who may have experienced or witnessed an incident in the dip to come forward.
We have sent a Freedom of Information (FoI) request to Brighton and Hove City Council, asking for information on all incidents involving cars and pedestrians in ten roads around the dip since 2005.
However, we know that not all of these incidents would have been reported at the time and would like to hear from those who may have witnessed one in the past.
We are asking anyone who has seen an incident to contact us through the Make Hollingdean Dip Safe Facebook group, or to email safer-dip@googlegroups.com.
If concerned residents in Brighton and Hove wish to sign the petition, they can do so through the council’s website by popping into Easy Hours in the Hollingdean Dip.
