I KEEP seeing the term “Boris bikes” appearing in The Argus.
Surely these should be more correctly referred to as “Paris bikes” as that city had them long before the present mayor of London appropriated the idea and claimed it for his own.
Also, in your front page story (March 2), these bicycles were referred to as “iconic”.
Personally, I am not sure painting a bicycle blue and writing Barclays on it constitutes iconic status. Most people would probably just consider this advertising.
