I'm writing to you about a letter from M Dyson regarding the community garden in Church Street (The Argus, March 16).
I think he is wrong about its history. The garden is on ground that was once shops.
One, as I recall, was a fishing tackle shop.
The garden he refers to as Quakers Croft is still there. It’s next to the building called Brighthelmstone.
