POLICE are attempting to track a driver of a black car that was spotted at the scene of a serious accident.
A 36-year-old woman from Lewes had to be cut free from her green Ford car and suffered serious injuries following a head-on collision with a yellow Mercedes van, driven by a 47-year-old man from Eastbourne, on the A22 at Lower Dicker at about 4pm on Wednesday March 16.
It is believed that a black vehicle was in the area at the time of the crash, and may have swerved to avoid a collision with the van but the driver has not been traced.
PC Trevor Scott of Polegate Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from the driver of the black vehicle, together with anyone else who witnessed what happened on 0845 60 70 999.
