A man who was killed in a crash has been named.
Michael Ronald Davies, 53, of Bowley Road, Hailsham, died when his Citroen Berlingo van hit a tree on the A27 near Selmeston on Thursday night.
Mr Davies was travelling west shortly before 9.30pm when he crashed between Charleston Farm House and Middle Farm.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions until after 2am.
Chloe Finan, from Hastings contacted The Argus to pay tribute to Mr Davies.
She said: “He was a manager in Hastings and a true gentleman. He was there for everyone when you needed him, and was the most reliable man you could ask for. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family.”
