Motorists are being warned to keep an eye out for deer on the move for food.
East Sussex County Council is asking motorists to be extra deer aware this month because the animals are more likely to be spotted crossing roads at the moment as they look for food.
Last year in East Sussex there were more than 450 traffic collisions involving deer, with more than half of these taking place in the Ashdown Forest area.
