A 22-year-old motorist who crashed his car into a railway bridge has died in hospital.
Charles Dickinson, of Lewes Road, East Grinstead, was driving a grey Peugeot 206 when he lost control and collided with a large railway bridge in Turners Hill Road, East Grinstead, at around 2am on Wednesday March 16.
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to East Surrey Hospital, Redhill before being transferred to St Georges Hospital in South London where he died in the early hours of this morning.
The Road Policing Unit of Sussex Police are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Doncaster.
