HAS anybody noticed that Brighton and Hove City Council has started changing the identity of this city without notice?

It started with the council’s website changing its colour scheme from the traditional heritage colours of the two shades of green of Brighton and Hove to blue and purple.

The traditional Royal Pavilion logo has also been replaced with some abstract shapes and this has now appeared on my council tax notice.

There is also a planning application for a new frontage to the Brighton Centre and, if approved, this will also use the new colours and logo.

Surely there needs to be more consultation on such changes such to the city’s image?

I think the new colour scheme and logo look childish and cheap, and deny the city’s long-standing heritage.

We have not been consulted on this. If anyone feels thesame way, it might be worth making your councillor aware of this.
