A pub fence burnt down in a “dubious” fire.
Crews from Roedean Fire Station were called to the Freshfield Pub on Freshfield Road, Brighton at about 3.30am.
They found part of the fence outside the pub alight and one panel already destroyed.
The blaze was put out before it could spread. An investigation is now taking place but a spokesman said the incident appeared “dubious”.
