Three men arrested over an air rifle shooting in Hove have been bailed.
Police were called to Buckley Close on Sunday night after initial reports a child had been shot in his collarbone.
But officers have now say the victim was a 22-year-old man.
Three men were arrested for firearms offences and wounding.
A 20-year-old man from Hove and two men, aged 18 and 23 from Brighton, have been bailed until 23 May for further enquiries.
