A memorial for people who have died from AIDS has been vandalised for the second time in a month.
The AIDS Memorial in New Steine Gardens, Brighton, was plastered with posters on Tuesday night advertising a nightclub.
Police have so far been unsuccessful in tracking down a graffiti artist who “tagged” the memorial with yellow paint earlier this month.
Councillor Paul Elgood, who first proposed the building of the monument, said the vandalism showed “complete disrespect”.
Brighton and Hove City Council's CityClean team was quick to remove the latest vandalism but the incident raised issues about protecting the statue.
