A cow caused mayhem after escaping from a field and onto the A23.
It was spotted running along the busy road at Pyecombe near Brighton at about 5.30pm on Saturday.
A Sussex Police spokesman said by 6pm it was rounded up by the edge of the road and no one had been hurt.
