Two bin fire which caused external damage to properties are believed to have been started deliberately.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent a crew from Preston Circus, Brighton, to Church Street, Brighton, at 1.10am after the fires broke out near to St Nicholas Church.
No one was injured but one property filled with smoke while the window frames of another home were damaged.
