The Argus: fringe_2011_logo_red_thumb The Nonsense, written by Kevin Cotter, directed by Dino Kazamia and starring Andrew Kazamia is a hard-hitting story about Ronnie Taylor, an ex-boxer turned small-time gangster who relives his life, which is in turns both tragic and comic, while training on his own in what looks to be a small gym.

Throughout the 55 minute production, the audience is mesmerized by Andrew Kazamia's skilful portrayal of the heartache, anger, loves and losses of a 58-year-old man as he skips, punches, and pumps his way through the past that has shaped him.

Kazamia's performance is as dynamic in its emotional intensity as it is in its sheer physicality.

The moment when he reveals the awful truth about what motivated him to commit the awful crime 29 years ago, is a real lump-in-the-throat moment that moments later is overtaken by mind-blowing shock when Ronnie reveals his bitter twisted core that is still very much alive and kicking.

This is a production not to be missed. Kazamia is outstanding.
