A bus was completely destroyed after it set alight on a dual carriageway this lunch time.
All passengers were able to escape the minibus before the fire took hold shortly after 1pm today on the A23 near the Hickstead turn off.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to the scene in the northbound carriageway and extinguished the blaze before arranging for the bus to be moved.
A spokeswoman said: "No passengers were on board and no one was injured."
Police closed the road in both directions but have now reopened the southbound carriageway.
