A tray of gold chains was stolen from a jewellery shop.
The theft took place at 1.40pm today in the Sakakina Jewellers in the Carfax, Horsham.
Two men entered the shop. While one asked to see a particular bracelet the other moved behind the counter and grabbed the items.
They then ran from the shop towards Piries Place.
After they had left staff discovered that they had only got away with the pad the chains were on and that the jewellery had been left behind.
Following police enquiries two men were located nearby and arrested in relation to this offence. At the time of going to press they were in custody.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen men acting suspiciously in the area around this time.
