Regarding the article about queues in a Brighton post office (The Argus, May 4), it’s not only happening there, I can assure you.

I joined a queue in the main post office in Lancing on a recent Saturday at 10.50am and finally reached the front at 11.10am. This is the rule, not the exception.

In Tesco, if there is more than one person ahead of you at a checkout, they open more tills. In the post office, it seems the longer the queue, the fewer counters they have open.
