RECENTLY there have been urgent calls for donors to give their “pint of blood”
to contribute to the increased need for transfusions.
I am puzzled as to why much more use is not made of Transfusion Alternative Health Care.
This procedure has been in hospitals around the world for many years and has proved highly successful.
It is also, I understand, less costly and involves less risk to the patient.
I would be interested to know why this procedure is not much more widely used.
