A COUPLE blamed spontaneous combustion for their flowerpot bursting into flames.
The flowerpot caught alight at 1am today in Comptons Lane, Horsham, and was quickly put out by firefighters.
A Horsham firefighter said: “The couple said it must have been spontaneous combustion and they never smoked by the flower pit but there were an awful lot of cigarette butts in it.”
