A man who is suspected to have been electrocuted has been named as Graham Jump.
Mr Jump was at home when he died collapsed and died shortly after 12.30pm on Monday.
Medics worked on him for 45 minutes but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following his death engineers examined electrical circuits at his home, a Sussex Police spokeswoman said.
However, an official cause of death has not been confirmed and the case has been referred to the East Sussex coroner.
A Sussex Police statement said: “A man whose body was found at an address in Hopfield Gardens, Uckfield, has been named.
“He was 61-year-old Graham Jump.
“The police are not treating the death as suspicious and the coroner’s officer is continuing her enquiries.
“A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out within the next week.”
