A woman who died after being struck by a train has been named.
She was Jacquelyn Saunders, 40, of Wivelsfield, near Burgess Hill.
Ms Saunders, known as Jackie, died after being struck by the fast-service train heading to London Paddington at Iver station in Buckinghamshire.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman said: “BTP officers were called to the line close to Iver station on Monday, 9 May following the report of a woman being struck by a train.
“BTP and Thames Valley Police officers attended the incident, which was reported to police at 10.18am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service also attended the scene but the woman, who has since been identified as Jacquelyn Saunders, aged 40, and from Wivelsfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The train involved was the 9.31am Oxford to London Paddington service.”
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.
“The line was handed back to Network Rail at 10.50am.”
