WITH reference to Mr Gandy’s letter about the issue of a subterranean “hum” emanating from somewhere near Peacehaven, drilling may well have some substance as a reason for this (The Argus, May 21).
However, it does not account for my personal experience as far afield as North Wales, Gloucestershire, London, Portsmouth and, closer to home, Brighton.
The substantial body of experience of the phenomenon worldwide suggests that other causes should be sought and it would be an appropriate subject for an investigation by the University of Sussex Physics Faculty.
