Tenants have warned they will fight to end a £200 million repairs contract if they are unhappy with the work done to their homes.
Brighton and Hove City Council handed responsibility of repairs and maintenance in all its 12,500 homes to private firm Mears 18 months ago.
But despite promises to respond to calls, tenants have raised concerns that they have been left waiting months for basic work to their homes.
Council chiefs will now meet with Mears officials to ensure the issues are resolved.
It came as more than 100 housing tenants gathered for the bi-annual City Assembly, where tenants can quiz housing chiefs about issues.
The next city assembly is in Hove Town Hall on November 19. All tenants are welcome.
