The Local Action Team in Central Hove is looking for more residents to get involved and have their say about the community.

The LAT covers the entire Central Hove ward and the meetings, which take place every two months, are an opportunity for local residents and businesses to voice their issues and concerns or to raise awareness about particular events in the area.

Police Community Support Officer Darren Penter said: “The LAT set out to improve community safety in the Central Hove area and has brought a series of improvements to that neighbourhood.”

The meetings are attended by police, residents, ward councillors, representatives from the Council, City Clean, and local businesses. “This makes it very easy for local residents and businesses to focus their concerns to the right people,” PCSO Penter added.

Local policing priorities are also decided by the LAT, recent examples include the problem of drinking in the streets or speeding vehicles on Tisbury road.

The next meeting will be at St Andrew's church hall on Monday 25th July at 7pm and anyone is welcome to go along. For further information contact Simon Bannister by email at simon.bannister@brighton-hove.gov.uk or see the link below.
