Outside the Brighton Youth Centre sat Selina Barker in her little yellow bus, Beryl.

Selina is Head Coach at Screw Work and is travelling around the country to 'inspire people to follow their dreams.'

The friendly volunteers welcomed guests and pointed out where to go to swap the things they had brought.

On the ground floor the T21 Dance Crew taught street dance to anyone willing to drop in, and BandBazi held trapeze and other circus skills classes.

On the first floor a group of eco-friendly companies such as Bid and Borrow, Grow Your Neighbours Own and Healthy Planet exhibited greener, community-driven methods of sharing.

The whole afternoon started on the second floor with a shared performance of the Timewarp and Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You', complete with prompt cards.

In one corner MySwish offered a free clothes swap and in another corner Jane sat building an origami mobile.

Justine Rodriguez, 28, who was folding her third paper crane said, 'I think it's a really welcoming and interesting idea. I'm a real campaigner of human interaction.'

At the back of the building a group grafitti artwork for Brighton Youth Centre was taking shape, under the eye of Mike Roe, CEO of Brighton Youth Centre.

Mike insisted the noise was a good thing and the building was meant to be a hub of activity.

Leaving behind the vegetarian sharing picnic, dressing up shop, live performers, and face painting, those who managed the last set of stairs were greeted by Darren Dartnell, 29, and 'Da Roof'.

The indoor skate park is the start of a series of projects at the Brighton Youth Centre and on Saturday it was full of kids of all ages.

Darren said, 'We're the only indoor skate park for 50 miles and we're hoping the event will generate awareness and help raise funds for further expansions.'
