A motorcyclist died in hospital after a crash at Polegate last night.
The 31-year-old man from Eastbourne came off his Yamaha motorcycle on the bypass at about 5.30pm.
He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital but died of his injuries.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "There is no further information at this stage on how the accident happened but no other vehicles were involved."
