Workmen’s tools left in their vehicles were targeted by thieves during a spate of break-ins.
Four break-ins were reported in Wicklands Avenue, Chichester Drive East, Withyham Avenue and Heathfield Avenue in Brighton overnight on Sunday.
Police are urging workmen urging workmen to remove their tools from their cars and vans when finishing work for the day, to secure them in a locked area and to use a sticker in the vehicle to tell would-be thieves that no tools are kept onboard overnight.
