Thousands of people have been flocking to a three-day celebration of historic motors.

Motoring fans have enjoyed motorcyclists riding 500cc and 350cc bikes battling it out for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy as well as Formula 3 vehicles from 60 years ago duelling at the 14th Goodwood Revival.

Race ace Sir Stirling Moss was just one of the legends who were honoured on Friday.

Visitors also craned their necks to the sky to witness air displays from some of the finest military aircraft of the last 70 years, including the crowd-pleasing Spitfires.

Around 140,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event over the weekend with a star-studded line-up including Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, singer Will Young and musicians Eric Clapton, Charlie Watts from the Rolling Stones and Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay set to make an appearance.
