A paraglider emerged miraculously unscathed after a crash that left him dangling from a 60ft tree.
The trainee pilot was stuck in the tree at Devil's Dyke for three hours before being rescued completely unharmed.
The crash happened between the village of Poynings and the dyke at about 1pm yesterday.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said four engines and a technical rescue team helped to ease the man down using pulleys.
For an exclusive interview with the pilot and pictures see tomorrow's Argus.
