A fan has been charged by police after running on to the pitch during Albion’s Carling Cup clash against Liverpool.
Bricklayer Jack Wenham, 21 of Norwich Drive, Brighton, has been charged with going onto the playing area at a football match contrary to the Football (Offences) Act 1991.
A second man, 44-year-old labourer Paul Mehmet, of Friday Street, Eastbourne, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Both men will appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on Friday October 14 and as part of their bail conditions, neither men will be allowed to go to the Amex Stadium at Falmer.
