The southbound carriageway of the A23 was closed for more than two hours following a two-vehicle crash.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to incident opposite the Handcross Garden Centre, between Handcross and Slaugham, at 12.35pm today.
A four wheel drive Land Rover, a commercial van and a trailer were involved in the collision. One vehicle rolled on to its roof and the other vehicle ended up on its side.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service treated casualties at the scene and the road was reopened at 2.40pm.
