An elderly pedestrian was airlifted to hospital after she was hit by a car.
The 72-year-old woman from Lewes suffered serious leg injuries following a collision with a Ford Galaxy driven by a 43-year-old man also from Lewes.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the bottom of School Hill, Lewes at just after 12.45 on Saturday.
An air ambulance landed in the old magistrates' court car park close to the scene before airlifting the woman to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
