Contractor’s rubbish to be removed Contractors hired to build a new shelter left mounds of rubbish yards away.
Bricks, cables, timber and tarpaulin were discarded at the back of the shelter at West Worthing Station by contractors hired by Southern Rail.
Daniel De Conceicao Silva, from Worthing, who took pictures of the rubbish, said: “This awful scene that is stashed on private gardens is an eyesore for visitors and residents.”
A Southern Rail spokesman said: “We are sorry that this rubbish has been left behind. It is not what we would expect from our contractors and have arranged for it to be removed as soon as possible.”
