A woman is seriously hurt after being hit by a car.
The 21-year-old is believed to have been crossing Kings Road, Brighton, shortly before 11pm yesterday when she was hit by an Audi A3 saloon.
The woman from South Croydon was taken to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath with serious head and body injuries.
A 45-year-old Brighton man, who was driving the car, was treated for shock at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Elder.
