A farm worker missing for almost three weeks has been found dead.
Sussex Police have confirmed that the body of a man found in a field near Plawhatch Lane in Sharpthorne, East Grinstead, last night is that of missing man Alan Hope.
Police are not treating the death of Mr Hope, who went missing from Old Plawhatch Farm, Plawhatch Lane in Sharpthorne on Monday May 7, as suspicious.
Police carried out searches of the surrounding area after the 45-year-old failed to turn up for work on the farm where he lived and his sister appealed for him to get in touch.
A member of the public found his body at 8.15pm yesterday.
