An Albion employee is set to find out in the next few hours whether she has won a national award.

Brighton and Hove Albion conferencing and events staffing manager Ruth Melton is in the running for a special achievement award at the Football Hospitality Awards evening at the American Express Community Stadium tonight.

Ruth is responsible for 440 staff and has overseen 31 games at the stadium in her first year at the club.

In total the club has been nominated for seven national awards including best matchday hospitality, directors' championship choice, conference and events sales marketing, media choice, the green award and the fans' choice awards.
