A Hollywood actor is filming in Lewes.

Golden Globe-winning Kevin Bacon, who appeared in JFK, Apollo 13 and Frost/Nixon, spotted in Paddock Road, off Offham Road.

Filming is taking place for an Everything Everywhere (Orange/T-Mobile) advert.

An East Sussex County Council spokesman said: “"We try our best to schedule roadworks and road closures in such a way to minimise disruption. In this case, it is not a full closure of the High Street but there will be stop and go boards for a few minutes at a time to allow filming of someone crossing the road.

“We have scheduled this to take place between 4pm and 8pm on Saturday evening when traffic is lighter and the shops will be closing. Filming will also be taking place in other parts of Lewes for a BT advert which will therefore feature the town.”
