Revised bus timetables for Brighton and Hove
7:00am Sunday 12th August 2012 in News By Tim Ridgway, Local government reporter
Revised bus timetables have been announced.
Brighton and Hove Bus Company said the changes to routes in the city were introduced after suggestions from passengers over the last few months.
Some routes are set to receive more buses while others will see improved frequencies in the evenings and on Sundays.
Among the changes is a 23, which runs between Falmer and Brighton Marina via Lewes Road, every 20 minutes during the week rather than every 30 minutes.
A Sunday service will also be introduced for the first time.
The frequency of the 48 between Lower Bevendean and Brighton Station will increase to every 12 minutes while route 38 from Meadowview and Coombe Road will be extended from the Open Market to the back entrance to Brighton Station.
These improvements are being introduced with Brighton and Hove City Council after funding from the Department for Transport.
Among other changes are the 5/5A/5B from Hangleton to Patcham and Hollingbury to run every ten minutes Monday to Saturday while on Sundays it will be every seven minutes.
The 25 from Palmeira Square, Hove, to the universities will increase to every ten minutes on Saturday.
There will be new regular nightly buses for Peacehaven and the South Coast Road with night bus routes N12 and N14 running every night of the week.

So even more empty buses chugging round the city pouring fumes into the air but making Ian Davey even more self satisfied and Roger French richer. So thats all right then.

This is a lie, the changes were made because even more tax payers hard earned cash was "given" to a private company as the country is awash with it at the moment and our top priority is to save bus passengers having to wait a couple more minutes

Could all of the empty seats be given
free of charge to people who are paying for the Olympics but were not on the corporate gravy train?

We do have a good network comapred to anywhere else in the country despite what the moaners may say. Not perfect, but pretty good. The one big improvement missing is interticketing between all bus companies and the train companies.
